First Annual Wing and Beer Festival 2015

Saturday May 2, 2015 brought amazing weather to the first annual Wing and Beer festival.  Multiple breweries gathered at the Long Island Air Power Museum in Farmingdale for an afternoon full of amazing Buffalo Wings, Amazing Craft Beer and some Amazing airplanes.  Beer, Food and Plane enthusiasts were all in agreement that this newly created beer festival is full of fun and a great experience for all in attendance.  We look forward to next years festival.

First Course: Brooklyn Summer ale paired with Tomato and Frest Mozz. and Anthony's Classic Italian Salad

Second Course: Brooklyn Lager paired with Meatballs and Ricotta Cheese along with Eggplant Marino

Third Course: Sorachi Ace paired with Pork Ribs and Vinegar Peppers along with Coal Oven Roasted Chicken Wings

Fourth Course: I Wanna Rye-It Rye IPA paired with Traditional Cheese, Cauliflower and Broccoli Rabe and Sausage "Well Done" pizzas

Crooked Ladder Shinnecock Bock

New for spring, Shinnecock Bock.  Brewed right in Riverhead Long Island New York.  This beer is draft only and will only be around for a limited time.  Get it while you can.

Brookyln Brewmasters Reserve: I Wanna Rye It

Brooklyn Brewery has released their newest installment of the Brewmaster's Reserve Series: I Wanna Rye-It a bold Rye IPA.  This draft only beer is 7.5% abv and features Willamette and Centennial Hops.  This beer is in very limited quantities and will be found on draft at only the best craft beer bars.  Look around for this one because it will go quick.

New Farmhouse IPA variety pack from Long Trail

Long Trail Brewing from Bridgewater Corners, Vermont, has released there latest Farmhouse Variety 12pack.  This IPA variety pack includes 4 different IPA's including a Black Rye IPA, Session IPA, White IPA and American IPA.  The Black Rye IPA weighs in at 6.3% and 48 IBU's, The American IPA which has been previously released on draft only is 6.4%ABV and 70 IBU's.  The White IPA is said to be part IPA and part Belgian Wit and is 6.2%ABV and 45 IBU's.  And last but not least the Session IPA is lower ABV at 4.5% and the IBUs on this brew is at 50 which should have a nice bitterness and hop aroma.  Look for this Variety pack in better beer retailers across Long Island.
